Heathens and Thieves

Heathens and Thieves

Movie Details

In the Old West-lawmen, drifters, and hired guns converge on a ranch, believing its Chinese owners possess stolen gold. When two drifters hear rumors that a Chinese railroad worker has absconded with stolen gold and now owns a remote ranch in the wilds of Northern California, the desperate men put a plan into motion to steal the “Chinaman’s gold” themselves-quickly, before other interested parties close in. SAUL, the younger of the drifters, uses his charm and his skill with horses to get hired on as a ranch hand, while his grizzled mentor BILL lurks in the shadows on the perimeter.

If the movie is as good as the trailer hype then I can’t wait til it hits the theaters. Don Swayze controls and OWNS the screen with intensity and believability that takes your breath away. Andy Simpson is a star demanding to be discovered. Michael Robert Brandon is INTENSE and I want to see what kind of character Richard Doyle brings to the screen. John, Jesse, Roy and Bern all bring their special something to the party too. Gwendoline and Boyuen have their work cut out for them if they want to outsmart these outlaws and survive. Then there’s Tom Proctor and Josh Tessier!! Tremendous actors and incredible stuntmen. With the stunts coordinated and executed by them, this western has got to be action packed! And what would a western be without beautiful horses and great photography? Megan and John have brought us a movie that will create it’s own legends.

Hey, guys. Don’t you realize that this kind of over-hype masquerading as so-called reactions can only hurt the credibility of your film and turn off someone who was interested enough in attending the Downtown LA Film Festival screening to seek out REAL comments? Interested enough, that is, until I ran into all this orchestrated flack from friends. This speaks of the kind of amateurism that makes one despair of laying down one’s admission only to see yet another less-than-releasable film.

As it is, you’ve lost a viewer (and real reviewer). Sorry.
