IM SO GONNA CRY WHEN ITS OVER.. BEST SERIES EVER. ABSOLUTLY HAPPY THERE WILL BE TWO MOVIES. NO WAY THEY COULD DO IT RIGHT IN ONE. AND GOD DO I PRAY THEY MAKE ANOTHER BOOK AND OR MOVIE. I don’t know why everyone is making a big deal over nothing! I plan 2 watch the movies and enjoy every minute of them. I am reading over all the books and it sux that the books. The movies aren’t the same , but i enjoy both no matter what!Everyone else should do that 2! That’s just my opinion!!!!!!!

To obtain the Elder wand you do have to kill the previous owner dumbledore killed gregorovitch to obtain the elder wand!!!Geez read the books get your facts straight and then comment on the movies and the books!!!!!!!!
This is going to be an amazing movie! I absolutely cannot wait! BTW the deathly hallows are objects! It is the Invisibilty Cloak, the stone, and the elder wand. The invisibility cloak makes people invisible (Harry’s possession), the stone brings people back to life (Harry possession in this book), the elder wand is a wand that does everything, not just spells everything possible (Dumbledore’s until Draco does the Expelliarmus spell so it is now Draco’ and the Harry’s)
hey voldemort 2.0 do remember what happens at the end of the last book voldemort tries to kill harry but it didnt work cuz he used harrys blood to bring himself back to life so as long as voldemorts alive harry cant die.and potter freak voldemort doesnt even know about the hallows. wht would he turn one into a horcrux if he wanted them, you two need to go back and read the kings cross chapter dumbledore explains it all ok get your facts straight.

To obtain the elder wand you don’t have to kill the previous owner, just beat them. Gregorovich was killed by Voldemort in the prison cell Dumbledore put him in. It was stated in the book that it has a bloody past, but that doesn’t mean you HAVE to kill them.
The movies will be good, I just want to see the scenes played out like I read them. I hated the final scene in 6 when Dumbledore dies… That was AWFUL!
If u guys remember from the first movie… that is ollivander harry is talking to. Watch the scene where he goes into his wand shop and look at the actor playing Ollivnder.

What “missing parts” are you so pissed off about? Yates perfectly captures the most important plot elements and tone. Furthermore, I think he’s made Snape a more well-rounded character than any of the books (with the exception of 7, of course).
What more do you want from 2 and a half hour movies?
The guy Harry talks to is Ollivander but I can see where you would think he is Xeno. Im so pumped for this movie! November needs to come a lot faster!! Does anyone have a guess what Part II is?? It would be the Hogwarts scenes right? I’m not trying to spoil anything for anyone but if you have read them you would know what that means. I am very sorry if I did spoil it for you!!

Okay, obviously that is Ollivander, but perhaps it’s not the person he is talking to. The Trailer is meant to make you think that. Many a times the Movie trailors give us bits and pieces of the movie that actually don’t coincide with each other so that there is a bit of mystery to the film and we don’t figure the whole film out.
So, maybe that’s Xeno’s voice we hear. We will find out later.
Also, Chaos, the Movie is Split into two parts because Book Seven is the last book in the Series and They wanted to make sure everything is in the movie. The Number of Movies and Books Has nothing to do with how many Deathly Hallows there are.
Secondly, the Directors stated that Part I would end near the Snatching seen right before the Malfoy Mannor and the Shell Cottage. Part II is coming out in July.

I’m looking at everyone’s post, and as usual, Potter fans get extra about small stuff. However, as a Potter Fan myself, I just hope that they are making this story a two parter to finally give justice to the book. The movies often leave out small things that turn out VERY IMPORTANT things, and since they leave them out, they rush to the plot. Hopefully, this will allow for the true development of the story such as the first movie did.

MovieLover you’re a dumbass, they’re making it into two movies because the book was to big to be made into one movie, they could easily make the movies as close to the books in the time they use, Lord of the Rings went by the books to the best extent possible, Harry Potter could do they same, the book is just to big to be made into two movies.

@ Nova: How hilarious that you call me a dumbass when that comment I made about the two movies was my opinion, and the fact that you used The Lord of the Rings as a reference… Each movie pushes 3 hours and the third passes that. Plus, I have read all 4 of JRR tolkien books and the little things they left out of the movie didn’t effect the major plot of them all. In HP, a lot of the little things they left out effects the end in some major ways. If the HP movie people had split the 5th and the 6th movies (which btw were HUGE books) I believe they would have been awesome! I totally agree with movielover, people need to check their grammar and spelling! I also think that those of you who are asking “What’s going on?” because you have not read the books… well, you NEED to read the books! They are not boring in the slightest, and are in fact exciting and very well written! To the few who have made disparaging comments about us (i.e. HP fans), I ask – WHY ARE YOU ON THIS SITE?? It seems like a waste of your time, and proof that you have nothing better to do and no life whatsoever. Why would you write a comment on a site you have no interest in, and no business being on, just to make fun of something you reportedly care nothing about? Any response, book haters? I would love to hear it.

I have to say this, after viewing the trailer again, the voice definitely sounds like John Hurt, and it really sounds like he says that last part, “possess them all, is to be immortal”.
I know that in the book, Ollivander knew nothing of the Deathly Hallows, and that they received the majority of that info from Mr. Lovegood, but that doesn’t change the fact, that it sounds like John Hurt when the trailer is played. Now, I would say that it could be 2 people, Olli and Xeno, but their voices were matched, or perhaps, they had John Hurt read part of Xeno’s lines for the trailer purposes. I wish they didn’t tell us any information on what the deathly hallows were, but there you go. I just remember reading it for the first time, everyone was asking “what does that mean?, is it a person, place, things, etc.” Most entertaining were the wild speculations. When I finished the book, I was in the mindset that everyone else had as well. I had to watch what I said to people, because like some on this board, I had, wrongly, assumed that everyone read the books. I was then taken to task by someone overhearing my conversation, and let me know that some people see the movies – only, and since then, I have come to realize that.
I have also come to realize that with the close of the second movie, came a dark period for the Potter Movies. Azkaban was ok, but the changes gave me the wrong feel (I saw the movie first too), and then Goblet was atrocious when it came to the series aspect – it really did not expound on the Harry/Sirius relationship at all, and they really needed the Dursley’s. Then Phoenix came, and a little light came in, and it seemed that maybe something was going right…and then Half Blood Prince took that away – from the very first scene. I guess the writers/director did not see this like I saw it as ‘the ongoing struggle of HP v Voldemort. With Harry being guided by Dumbledore, who happens to find his true love. Instead the movie sort of dropped a lot of that, and focused on Harry the Horny One too much and too little on Harry the Chosen One. The beauty of JK Rowling’s writing is that she would give us ‘breaks’ in the intensity of the epic struggle, to show us that even though all of this is going on, Harry still was an awkward teenager, who liked girls, and like some of us, woke up one day, and found they were in love with someone they never thought about. The movie sort of did the opposite. I am hopeful for this last Movie (2 parts I know) that it will do JKR and Harry justice, but time will tell. I really hope we do see the Dursely’s this movie as well. I mean, the typical male at 16 or 17 would not have asked the waitress out (typical I said – they might if a lot of their friends were there)

The very last line is something that only Ollivander would have said “if it’s true, you don’t stand a chance”. This sounds very much like the conversation Harry had with him in shell cottage, when he was asking about “the death stick”. The text said something like, and Harry saw it again, that same look of wonder in his eye thinking about Voldy and the Wand. Or something like that. But either they combined some of Ollivander’s lines and Xeno’s lines, or they are purposely trying to ‘mislead’ us, and generating a buzz among the die-hard book fans…..
I think that Bill will not be in this movie. In the previous movies, they have not shown either Bill nor Charlie, as if they do not exist. I’m curious to see what they will have instead of a Wedding for the death eaters to destroy. In fact in the end of the last movie, the burrow was destroyed… I’m re-reading the books for fun right now. Can’t wait for the last movie!!
