A young boy named Goku seeks out upon his grandfather’s dying request to find the great Master Roshi and gather all seven Dragon Balls (of which he has one) in order to prevent Piccolo from succeeding in his desire to use the Dragon Balls to take over the world.

  IF this is the movie I hope Japan sees that they should never trust the US to make another live action film of an anime EVER. This makes me cry. I mean Piccolo is not EVEN GREEN FOR CRYING OUT LOUD and he look like he came from Star Trek. Why are they missing major characters? And why does Goku look like he is in his late teens and he is American…? Just realized they are missing Bulma and Launch, and a few others that I am to angry to even think of…. That is the end of the rant….for now.

  Hey people rember this is DRAGONBALL! not Z or GT. And this looks awesome. I like cant wait. The only character missing is Krillin and he wasnt really THAT big till Z. Bulma is there and has a huge roll. You guys are such lames for pissing on everything. This is awesome.

  Ok this is really a bad production of the characters. None of them look like the original characters. For crying out loud, Piccolo doesn’t need to look like a yellow vampire. Roshi doesn’t look perverted enough. I get they are trying to “modernize” the image but some things they went too far with. Huge disappointment from the trailer. I’ll still go see it to give it a fair chance but if it stinks I ban the U.S. from making anymore live action anime movies since they don’t have the mental compacity to do it right. It’s all visual effects with them no heart in the movies anymore.

  Piccolo should be played by the guy that played Spawn. The Guy that’s playing Goku should hit the weight room. Jet Li could play Krillin. I will go watch the movie, but I agree with everyone here, they need to do a better job.

  Piccolo won’t be white through the whole movie. When he awakens he’s very pale from being imprisoned for 2000 years. I do agree this movie won’t be what the anime is but I think it will be decent enough. I don’t think Anime translates well to live action…

  if ppl read the description for the movie MOST of their question’s would b answered.Piccolo is not green CAUSE they incorporated that he turns green in the end of the movie.Goku looks young cause this script is based b4 DBZ and in his final yr of high skool.Piccolo is evil WTH u say?!the story is based on b4 vegeta and freezer etc,when piccolo is evil and pissed that they locked him away for 2000 yrs. I for 1 am gonna give this movie a chance cause Stephen Chow is a producer for the movie

  2 Akira toriyama worked with the filmakers and if its good enough for Akira then its fine considering Toriyama MADE the show and helped make the movie, This is like what the 4th try they have done at this movie and this one got past the people in charge as a o k I mean look at transformers it was made by a man who had NO clue about anything transformer and it turned out insane and is one of the top grossing movies of all time and in some countries IS the #1 grossing movie in some countries people who dis on a movie based on a trailer seriously have no clue whatsoever Look at Hancock that movie in the first trailers showed you a Drunk superhero and a man trying to change him ….Guess what thats only a SMALL part of the whole plot and the movie I thought was really decent , so how bout all you whining little halo kids shut it till the movie comes out and you see it or dont see it grow up people

  It’s a movie, since when have we had a good production from the states with anime real life / games movie.

  Stop having such high hopes is my advice, US produced movies have gone down the drains of late so piss off and grow up.

  I’m very upset with this trailer. I’ve been a DB and DBZ fan since I can remember and this crap that I’m view shouldn’t have got a chance to even make a trailer. I agree, they should go back to the studio and redo alot the mistakes they’ve created. (P.S. Personally I think the producers of “Sin City” and “300″ should be in on this movie)!

  I went and saw this movie, and wow Bullshit is all i can say.
  It’s as if the producer watched a couple boring episodes of dragonball Z and said.. hey im gonna make a short film about a kid named Goku. None of the characters were correct as far as the anime goes. yamcha.. a bandit? thats bullshit. Ang I’m pretty sure goku was a kid at this point in time, and was goku not a kid at this point in time? and where the hell was the flying nimbus that goku had?. The combat scene’s were horrible, where were the random energy blasts? and Where’s the epic kamihamiha blast that was so enjoyable to watch.. i just saw some weak ass air wave. where were the big explosions and the fighters getting thrown into rock formantions, and destroying it briefly after. The . These are some of the things that made Dragonball, dragonball Z and dragonball Gt great to watch. clearly this movie was a failed attempt at being a cash cow. the only thing that the producer succeded at, was fucking up this movie, and making dragonball look like a stupid show to watch.
