This sequel to 2006′s controversial COLOR OF THE CROSS portrays the days following Christ’s crucifixion and through his Resurrection. Though Jesus’s disciples may have lost faith, the Virgin Mary and Mary of Magdalene remain convinced he will return after his death. When the two women discover his tomb is empty, and encounter two angels, they spread the word about the truth behind their messiah’s prophecy. Like its predecessor, this powerful film debunks the commonly held belief that Jesus was white and offers insights into the influence of race in Biblical times.
